Android companion app

The Guarantee Pay Android app listens for MFS payment SMS, filters trusted senders, and uploads parsed messages to your panel so pending transactions can complete automatically. It is built for modern Android (including Android 16) and uses a keep-alive capture service.

Setup

1. Install the APK. Allow installs from unknown sources if Android asks.
2. Open Devices in the admin panel and tap Connect device.
3. Scan the QR code in the app, or enter the Base URL and the one-time code.
4. Grant SMS and notification permissions so messages can be captured.
5. Turn off battery optimisation for the app and allow auto-start, so capture keeps running.

What gets synced

• Sender ID or number
• Full SMS body
• Received time
• Parsed amount and transaction ID, when the message matches a known pattern

Only whitelisted MFS senders are stored as payment data. Anything else appears under SMS data for review.
